Trip Description: It’s the best day of the year! Youth Service Day is a day full of volunteering for Watauga and Avery County high school students. Students will be assigned a service site based on their indicated interests and/or who they want to be in a group with. Students will meet at their service site by 9:45 am to begin service by 10am. Service will conclude around 3pm unless otherwise stated. After completing service, we will honor our hard work with a celebration at Valle Crucis Community Park. Students can drive themselves, carpool, or catch a ride with Mountain Alliance to get to Valle Crucis. Please let us know what your plans are for getting to the park. Student pick up will occur at the park at 5pm unless you reach out to us to make other arrangements. We can work with students who need to leave early/come late - let us know! We will still accept registrations after this, but may not be able to guarantee your participation in Youth Service Day after this date.
