Trip Description: Join us for a day of paddling on Watauga Lake! We'll head out in the morning, get onto the water, and explore! Depending on the weather, there may be opportunities for swimming or a short hike. We have a couple of different options depending on how the group is feeling! Mountain Alliance will provide canoes, paddles, and PFDs as well as instructions on how to canoe for those who are new to it. All experience levels are welcome! What to bring: - Lunch and Snacks - 2 Water Bottles - Water Shoes - Shoes or sandals that have a strap (Chacos, Crocs in sport mode, Keens, old tennis shoes all work well) - Non-cotton Athletic Clothing - Layers appropriate for the weather - Rain Jacket or splash jacket (recommended) - Change of Clothes (including socks/shoes) - Day Bag - Towel - Sunscreen - Hat and/or Sunglasses - Water proof camera (optional)
