In this course, students will delve into the realmof mold-making and slip-casting. This course will serve as a foundational introduction to common methods and principles used to successfully produce a plaster mold and cast ceramic multiples. Each student will have the opportunity to learn how to plan their project,create their own plaster mold for slip-casting, casting, firing, and glazing their pieces to completion.

Basic Materials to bring to class:

4 ct, 6" C-Clamps
3 ct - 3 gallon buckets
1 - Basic pottery tools including needle tool
1 - Disposable toothbrush
Dust mask or respirator
Apron (or wear something that can get dirty)
