Jewelry & Metalsmithing: Studio Sampler
Instructor: Scott Brazeau, Nancy Clark, & Robin Servo
Due to the rising cost of precious metals, unconventional and less expensive materials can be a great alternative for the creation of interesting jewelry pieces. This class will be taught by three metalsmithing instructors, each presenting different techniques necessary to complete a piece of steel jewelry including small amounts of silver components. Demonstrations will cover tool making, steel fabrication, forming, texturing, and silver embellishment. Most materials and supplies will be provided for this class.
Prerequisite: The completion of a beginning class including torch soldering.
