Pre-College Portfolio Preparation: Grades 8 - 12Instructor: Margaret Squires
This pre-college course is perfect for students applying to art school who want to strengthen their portfolio. You’ll improve your current artwork, create new pieces, and receive helpful one-on-one feedback in a small, supportive class. The course focuses on observational drawing skills, selecting art schools and the application process. Bring your portfolio on the first day for a productive review. You’ll also receive tips on photographing and editing your artwork. Basic drawing supplies are provided, and you may need to purchase additional materials for your own projects. Three classes will focus on portrait drawing from a clothed model.
