Description
Drawing On the Right Side of the Brain - An IntroductionInstructor: Kerry Yaklin
This is an introductory class geared at learning thebasic skills for drawing. This theory approachesdrawing as a learnable skill that eases as we modifythe process of how we “see” in order to draw morerealistically. Many skills required to draw effectivelyare in the brain’s right hemisphere processing:not the dominant, analytic, left side.Projects are therefore, designed to strengthen andpractice these perceptual skills with how the rightbrain processes information. By strengtheningthese skills, you can feel the joy at achievingrealistic looking drawings by experiencing themental shift that produces accurate results.Items covered include line, positive and negativeshapes, proportion, and light and shading.
