Fiber Arts/Textiles: Handweaving - All LevelsInstructor: Kira KeckExplore the practical and artistic possibilities of handweaving, including structure, color, pattern, and design. This class is for all levels, from first time weavers to experienced fiber artists. Beginning students will start with the basics of how to prepare the warp and weft on either a rigid heddle loom or a 4-shaft floor loom. Returning students can work on independent projects supported by the instructor, with access to looms with a wider weaving width and/or up to 8-shafts. Students will have access to weaving tools in the studio as well as a class stash of supplemental yarn for experimentation. Students in this class will need to purchase yarn for their projects. Weave only just begun!

Weaving: Open StudioNo Instruction
Weaving Open Studio is an opportunity to work on your class projects outside of your regular class time. To attend, students must be registered in the current Tuesday evening weaving class and be able to weave on your own.

Everyone should bring:
- A pair of sharp scissors
- Notebook/Folder
- Pen/Pencil
Suggested Materials for returning students:
- 1 x Boat shuttle. The 11” (regular and slim) are used in the studio.
- 1 x Bag of Bobbins suitable for your shuttle
- Yarn
- Cloth ruler
