Learn the basics of clothing repair in this beginner-friendly mending workshop with Alyvia Schoener, owner of ScrapHouse Designs! Participants will learn essential hand-sewing techniques for repairing everyday garments, including sewing on buttons, fixing small holes and tears, reinforcing worn areas, and creating simple visible mends. This workshop covers basic stitching methods, fabric repair techniques, and tips for extending the life of your favorite clothing while building confidence with needle and thread. Perfect for all skill levels and anyone interested in learning practical sewing skills in a fun, creative, and sustainable environment. Participants are encouraged to bring one or two clean garments in need of repair to work on during the workshop. Suitable for all skill levels, this class offers a welcoming and relaxing environment for anyone wanting to create something special. All supplies are included, just bring yourself and your creativity. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
