Nicole Heker is an educator, herbalist, writer, and homesteader living in western Maine. A former English teacher, she has spent years growing and working with medicinal plants, including co-owning an organic no-till herb farm. She now grows herbs and food on her family’s homestead and teaches practical, approachable classes on herbalism, gardening, and traditional plant-based skills. Nicole is also the writer behind House in the Hollow, where she explores seasonal living, herbalism, and life close to the land. Her classes are hands-on, welcoming, and designed to give students the confidence to bring these skills into their own homes and gardens.
