About this event
Join us in the beautiful Kala classroom for two 3 hour session of drawing/painting from a live model. We will look at the work of some contemporary and classical artists for inspiration and explore different approaches to mark making, line quality, value and composition. We may briefly look at anatomy and proportions (some handouts may be available for those who want more of that) but the main focus will be on how we look and what we look for: shadows, highlights, negative space and more. Students will be encouraged to explore their own drawing voice, try new things and consider how they can use the figure to express their own ideas.
