Spend an afternoon dipping into the world of natural dye using a variety of teas and other plant materials to color cotton, linen, and silk. This workshop starts with the preparation of 2-hour sample test baths using a variety of dye stuffs, followed by a lesson in creating patterns using tie and stitched resist to be used in a 24-hour bath at home. A $25 materials fee payable to the instructor includes: instructional and resource handouts, a dye kit with dyeing jar, dye materials, fabric, and tools.
