This three-part workshop will use the sketchbook as a tool to develop your artistic voice and style. Each class will explore illustration techniques, drawing exercises, and mixed media. The sketchbook has long been utilized by artists for developing ideas, drawing on location, and as a place for free expression. Personal direction will be welcomed with opportunity to explore drawing from life or from imagination. Students will benefit from the opportunity for group discussion. No experience necessary, just a willingness to sketch and draw freely. Materials: - mixed media sketchbook of any size - Drawing materials : micro pen, brush pen, fountain pen, pencils colored pencils, eraser, sharpener, glue stick. - Optional : India ink with water color brush size 6, Pan set of water colors, Markers.
