In this three session workshop, you will make a simple and comfortable pair of pants. These casual pants will include side pockets and elastic waist using the Pants No 1 pattern from 100 Acts of Sewing. This is a beginner class where you will learn your way around a sewing machine and simple garment construction. Skill level: Beginner/advanced beginner Fabric Requirements - 2 ½ yards of midweight wovens such as cotton, linen. Solids and prints will work. For sizes 2x - 5x, 2 ¾ yards. Pre-wash your fabric - cold water and tumble dry. For this first pair, I would say stay away from plaid which would require matching and, therefore, more fabric. Also, this pattern is not suitable for denim or knits.
