In this class, students will explore ceramic handbuilding with a focus on coil-built forms. All experience levels welcome, whether you’ve never touched clay or have been practicing the medium for years. Coil building has been a method of making vessels for many thousands of years across multiple cultures. You will learn how to use these techniques, grounded in tradition and simplicity, to make functional vessels and forms from start to finish. Clay must be purchased at the Studio. Clay is $15-$35 for a 25 lb bag depending on clay body. We also sell tools kits at the Studio and the prices range from $10-$22.
