$50-$100 dependent upon books students are interested in, this will be discussed during the first meeting. Students will have the opportunity to compete in a local competition, Battle of the Books which is held by the school . Other schools in the State of Washington participate, Book Club members will have the opportunity to compete amongst local schools. The competition fee has yet to be announced. Additional information will be shared from the parent advisor as soon as it becomes available. The club will read a variety of different texts. Members will participate in the Battle of the Books and compete in teams against one another. Whichever team wins will be the first Battle of the Books winner of BASIS Independent Bellevue! This club will host a book drive for a charity voted on by club members. Students will be able to read the books of their choosing and discuss them each week.
