About this event
Come join Ms. Fischer and Ms. Ward as they explore the intertidal zone of the Puget Sound’s North and South Beaches! Students in this project will explore the nearshore environment and learn about the ways we can care for and protect these important habitats. LOCATION DETAILS: Monday, June 16: Alki Beach. Students are expected to arrive by 10:00 AM. Students will be dismissed at 1:50 PM. Tuesday, June 17: North Beach Students are expected to arrive by 10:00 AM. Students will be dismissed at 1:50 PM. Wednesday, June 18: BASIS Independent Bellevue Classroom NOTE: Families will need to provide student transportation to and from Alki Beach and North Beach. More information on the arrival and dismissal locations will be shared after registration. Students joining this project should expect to walk several miles per day and tidepool in several inches of water. Appropriate footwear, water bottles, snacks, and sunscreen should be packed in a small backpack. Students are required to wear their school ID while off campus.
