Ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Include Plum Creek Nature Center in your spring break staycation plans! Throughout the prairie and the forest is an abundance of insect species with incredible adaptations. We’ll learn about why spiders aren’t technically an insect and how many body segments a firefly has, and we’ll even create our own insect! With nets and bug boxes, we’ll adventure through the prairie to see how many species of insects we can collect. Extend your day by registering for the morning Spring Break Staycation session and packing a picnic lunch! Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain.
