Description
May 2 is Salamander Saturday, an initiative started by the Foundation for the Conservation of Salamanders to raise awareness about salamanders, their habitats and their role in the ecosystem. Join us at the Plum Creek Nature Center for the opportunity to learn more about some of Illinois’ endangered amphibians by celebrating their unique features! We will go on a low-intensity hike of no more than 2 miles to explore where salamanders can be found in Illinois while picking up some interesting facts along the way! Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. This program will take place outdoors on natural surfaces across uneven terrain. Looking for more Salamander Saturday fun?
