About this event

Description

Ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by a registered adult.

Why do ducks fly south for the winter? Because it’s too far to waddle! Join us for this program to learn what makes a duck a duck and how their camouflage helps them and then go on our own duck hunt! After that, we will sit down and discuss the requirements for entering the Federal Junior Bird Stamp Contest and start our artistic entries by sketching some posed ducks. Draw inspiration from the Federal Duck Stamp Art Display. This program will be held indoors and outdoors; please dress for the weather. Plum Creek Nature Center is an accessible facility. Outdoor activities may take place on natural surfaces across uneven terrain.?

If you have any questions, please call us at 815-722-9879.

Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service to participate in this program should submit a request online no later than 48 hours before the program.
