Acting Emotion: An exploration and experiment with various approaches to emotion This class is for actors who are curious about the different ways in which emotion can be approached in acting. We will work with a variety of techniques, such as Stanislavski, the American Method, Laban, even what we think actors might have done in Shakespeare's time. Each class will highlight one method of working on emotion with discussion, exercises, and text work. Texts will include a variety of styles such as realism, Shakespeare, something a bit absurd, something hyper-realistic. During the final class actors will have the opportunity to perform a selected text based on one style or a combination thereof.
