In this class students are taught the basics of blacksmithing by forging a coat hook. This is a good preparation for the knife-making class. This class will be held outside. Please dress accordingly for the weather conditions and the nature of the work. Closed-toed shoes, non-synthetic clothes, and safety glasses are a must. Gloves and hearing protection are optional. About the Instructor: Adriaan is a blacksmith with almost 20 years experience. He has taught classes at living history museums as far away as New York and at various primitive skills schools and gatherings.
