About this event
- Location: 4001 Tannehill Lane Austin, Tx 78721 - Participants: 70 students total - Rotation Schedule: Three rotations of 30–45 minutes each. Level 1 will be divided into two groups of 20 with identical activities, and Level 2 will consist of one group of 30. - Timing: June 18th . 10 Am - 12:00pm event time. Setup/Team Arrival 9:15 am - Project Outcome: Each student will keep the creation from their rotation. - Price: $840 Experiment Choices: - Bubble-ologist: Discussion on bubbles, liquid creation, and playtime. - Balloon Rockets: Discussion on Newton's Third Law and rocket creation. - Straw Rockets: Discussion on Newton's First Law and rocket creation (art-heavy). - Alka-Seltzer Rockets: Discussion and creation of rockets (best completed outdoors; includes an art element). - Stomp Rockets: Discussion on the laws of motion and a rocket launch. - Hovercraft: Discussion on friction and hovercraft creation. - Bird Barf: Discussion on how birds feed their young and creating an edible cereal concoction. - Butterfly Houses: Discussion on butterflies and creating houses (art-focused). - Down Comes The Rain: Discussion on rain vapor and creating rain gauges. - Sun Prints: Discussion on UV rays and creating sun prints and UV-bead bracelets. Payment is due by June 4th to ensure all supplies are purchased in time.
