About this event
Level up your textile work and unlock one of the most dynamic embellishment techniques in the world. Taught by the Westobou Artist in Residence, this four-week immersive workshop gives you access to mentorship in tambour embroidery, a striking method that uses a specialized hook to lock chain stitches, beads, and accents into fabric with precision. Your training begins with an intensive dive into technique. Over the first two weeks, you will build muscle memory, master proper frame setup, and conquer the tactile art of guiding the hook blind beneath the stretched surface. You’ll then transition from basic line work into dynamic, structural design practicing how to feed and secure beads and sequins around angles, curves, and dense fill patterns. During the final two weeks, you will put your training to the test by creating a custom piece from start to finish. You’ll transfer your design onto project fabric, execute your embellishments, and learn the construction methods required to edge, back, and assemble a durable keychain, bag charm, or ornament. You will walk away with a finished project and the technical framework to customize your own jackets, hats, gear, and canvas art. Spaces are limited to ensure direct, one-on-one instruction. Reserve your frame and claim your spot today!
