Digital Imaging on Clay Workshop/ France DormanSaturday, December 6th

This workshop is an introduction to creating unique waterslide transfer decals. Each student will be able to create multiple monochromatic black decals from their own personal photos. During the workshop you will work with the instructor to optimize your images in photoshop and print on site. Then you will transfer the images onto premade glazed tiles or your own glazed pottery. They will be fired to ^011 at Chastain and will be available to pick up the following week. A $20 materials fee per person paid directly to instructor
What to bring: 10-15 jpeg images on a flash drive, no larger than 10MB. 3-5 glazed fired pieces, light toned smooth surfaces, no texture.
What will be provided: 2 - 6x6 porcelain glazed tiles, 3-4 - 8.5x11 sheets of waterslide transfer paper, a computer w/ photoshop to optimize images adjusting density and contrast, other necessary supplies, and instruction.

REFUND POLICY:
To receive a refund, students must submit their request at least 2 weeks before the first class. No refunds or transfers are guaranteed after this time. To withdraw from a class, you are required to email ChastainArts@AtlantaGA.gov and include your name, the class name, and your reason for withdrawal. The option to accept an account credit for the class withdrawal is preferred.
If a withdrawal/refund is requested after 2 weeks prior to or after the class has begun, a $30 administration fee will be deducted and only an account credit will be processed to be used for future class registrations, clay purchases, and future purchases in our gift shop & gallery. If a class has begun at minimum enrollment, we cannot process refunds or credits after the first class has already started. If you register for a class after the session has begun, only an account credit will be processed if a withdrawal is requested. Anyone registered for a figure class with a model will be required to pay the model fee on the first day of class with cash or check to the instructor. Even if you request a withdrawal after the first day of class, you will be required to pay the model fee calculated based on enrollment on the first-class meeting. The Chastain Arts Center is not responsible for classes missed due to student absences. Please discuss any unavoidable absences with your instructor.
