Description

We will work from life and create a new painting every week. Using set-ups or projected images we will explore still life, florals, interiors, landscapes and some Plein Air - weather permitting. Any medium will be accepted including I-pad with Procreate. Although the instructor will devote more time to beginning students to get them up to speed, experienced painters will always have the opportunity to work from the set-ups or on their own projects with as much help as they may need. This class is a great intro to painting and a lively interaction of artists - join us! Note: We will review equipment in the first class. Do not purchase any additional equipment before, just bring what you have. This should save you expenses. View the supply list here

REFUND POLICY: To receive a refund, students must submit their request at least 2 weeks before the first class. No refunds or transfers are guaranteed after this time. To withdraw from a class, you are required to email ChastainArts@AtlantaGA.gov and include your name, the class name, and your reason for withdrawal. The option to accept an account credit for the class withdrawal is preferred. If a withdrawal/refund is requested after 2 weeks prior to or after the class has begun, a $30 administration fee will be deducted and only an account credit will be processed to be used for future class registrations, clay purchases, and future purchases in our gift shop & gallery. If a class has begun at minimum enrollment, we cannot process refunds or credits after the first class has already started. If you register for a class after the session has begun, only an account credit will be processed if a withdrawal is requested. Anyone registered for a figure class with a model will be required to pay the model fee on the first day of class with cash or check to the instructor. Even if you request a withdrawal after the first day of class, you will be required to pay the model fee calculated based on enrollment on the first-class meeting. The Chastain Arts Center is not responsible for classes missed due to student absences. Please discuss any unavoidable absences with your instructor.
