Curious about clay? This welcoming beginner class is the perfect place to start. Designed for those with little or no experience, Clay Fundamentals introduces the basics of handbuilding and wheel throwing in a supportive, hands-on environment. Students will create five projects, including pinch, coil, and slab-built forms, as well as a wheel-thrown cup and bowl. Along the way, you'll learn studio practices, ceramic tools and materials, and participate in a glaze demonstration to prepare your work for firing. Come explore the creative possibilities of clay while building a strong foundation in ceramics. NOTE: The class is focused on a project format, so Paid Studio Access is not offered with this class.
