Create handmade gifts, greeting cards or wrapping paper this holiday season using the magic of relief printmaking! Beginner printmakers are welcome – learn safe carving practices on linoleum, how to use oil-based ink to achieve vibrant prints, and easy printing techniques by hand and with a tabletop press. Students are encouraged to bring in an original design or inspiration images to trace and carve, templates will also be provided. Day 1 will focus on design development and carving, and Day 2 will focus on inking and printing. Students will leave with a completed project, a carved printing plate they can print with again, and the techniques needed to continue printing at home..
