KEYNOTE PRESENTATION – Traveling with Birds: The Joys of Birding Near & Far 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm Birding thrills our senses and completes us in different ways, providing feelings of both fulfillment and wonder. Birds – their colors, songs, and feats of flight – bring us joy, and being outside observing them instills happiness and improves mental health. These shared pleasures are in large part why we are gathered at this festival, right? In this presentation at The Gathering Barn, renowned international birding guide Erik Bruhnke will share experiences that have left deep impressions on him. He will highlight some of the most memorable birds he’s enjoyed throughout the United States, including right here in northern Wisconsin, and introduce some spectacular birds of more distant regions in Central and South America. Along the way he’ll showcase outstanding photos, relatable stories, and birding anecdotes that he has accumulated during his lifelong birding treasure hunt. Additional Cost: $10
