AAU DIVING and the Professional Diving Coaches Association will host a clinic for for divers and coaches. November 5, 6 an and 7. For those attending the clinic we suggest arrive on Thursday night November 4 or early morning November 5 to Indianapolis. Ripfest will make arrangements to have you picked up and brought to the clinic. The camp will finish on Sunday, November 7 no later than 3 PM. Free to make flight arrangements anytime Sunday arrangements will be made to drop you off. Cost for the camp for divers is $500. This includes three meals a day dormitory style housing. Housing and meals will be on site at the dry training room in Arcadia, Indiana. Cost for coaches will be $300 includes three meals a day and dormitory style housing. There are local hotels available for those who don't want to stay in the dormitory. The clinic will be hosted in the largest dry training room in the United States. It features 16 dry boards, trampolines, spring floor and many other tools for diving. There will be water practices Friday night and Saturday. The coaching staff will feature several Olympic diving coaches, USA national team coaches and NCAA National champion coaches. It's an amazing staff from around the United States, Canada and China. In addition to an incredible coaching staff, there will be sport science experts to teach how to avoid injuries. The clinic is set up for lectures and practical, The participants will divide up into smaller groups which will rotate to the different coaches. Subjects covered at the clinic will be competitive strategies, Twisting drills on the trampoline and their lead ups. Hurdle techniques - how to load the board and arm-swing timing to maximize height. Visual Spotting - the effective use of visual clues while diving. How to rip and other entry techniques for diving. Trampoline spotting in safety harness. Proper handstands. (Handstand training) Stretching for diving. Diving drills for the side of the pool and mats.
