Adult. In this two day workshop, you will learn the joy of cutting and fitting dovetail joints by hand using only a saw, plane, and chisel. This fast paced class will introduce the same techniques taught in our 8 week beginner classes. These are the skills that have been used by cabinet and drawer makers throughout the centuries before the use of power tools. You will learn how to use the tools properly and safely, as well as how to produce a snugly fit dovetail joint without the use of nails, glue, or screws. You will leave the class with the knowledge to continue on your own or to take one of our 8-10 weeks woodworking classes to improve your skill. Note-this is a skills based class and you may not leave with a completed project. No prior woodworking experience is necessary. All materials and tools provided. Instructor: Laura Meyer. 2 classes.
