Adult. DEMO. Come and discover the art of creating delicious and nutritious, calcium-rich, protein-packed tempeh from scratch. Did you know this popular vegan meat replacement, originally from Indonesia, is actually fermented? During this demo, you will learn the traditional fermentation techniques, starting from beans to finished tempeh. By the end of the workshop, you will have gained the insights into the health benefits of tempeh and cooking techniques from an experienced tempeh maker. You will have the option to take home a tempeh kit with all you need to make your first tempeh at home (additional $10 paid to instructor). Instructor: Peisy Sulimin. Peisy grew up in Indonesia and has been researching and making tempeh for several years. With her expertise and passion for this traditional Indonesian delicacy, she is eager to guide participants through the art of Tempeh-making. 1 class.
