Description
Player Requirements:
- Players must be in grade K-8th and attend Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS).
- Players must be UNRATED or have a United States Chess Federation (USCF) rating LESS THAN 1000 (U1000) according to the latest USCF listings.
- Players do not need to have current membership in USCF or Michigan Chess Association (MCA), but can purchase a membership on site (via cash, credit card, or check payable to Twin Knights), if desired.
Additional Information:
- Trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place finishers.
- Tie-breakers, as approved by MCA, will be used, and will be posted on site.
- Clocks, boards, pieces, and score sheets will be provided.
- You may bring your own boards for skittles (NO skittles will be allowed in the tournament room).
- Score sheets, boards, and pieces will be available for purchase on site, if desired.
- Light food/snacks will be available for purchase on site, if desired.
Time:
- 9-9:30am Check-in
- 9:45am Parent & Player Orientation
- 10:00am 1st Round, 10:50am 2nd Round, 11:40am 3rd Round, 12:30pm 4th Round
