Ready to fire your work, but don't know how to load or start a kiln?

This crash course will take you through all the steps and firing procedures to fire the electric kilns at the Fairview Recreation Center. Working hands-on with the instructor, you will load a mock kiln together and learn how to do the following: reserve a kiln firing, stack kiln shelves, load ceramic pieces, set a firing program, clean and care for kiln shelves, and more.

Take your ceramic skills to the next level and build your confidence to fire your own kiln.

This class is great for those new to firing or those wanting a refresher.
