Description

This class will teach you the fundamental technique of hand-building with rolled clay coils and how to securely attach clay together to create a beautiful bowl. Your bowl can be made so that it is functional or purely decorative. Coil building allows a wide range of designs and forms as you gradually construct your bowl, stacking coils one on top of the other, adding unique textures and patterns along the way. Perfect for beginners or those wanting a break from the potter's wheel. After your bowl is made, you can further decorate it with underglaze to add color.

When your piece is dry, it will be fired in the kiln with a clear coat of glaze. You will be notified by email for pickup; the wait time is 6 weeks.

No prior experience necessary—just bring your enthusiasm and a desire to create!

Prices for kids 10-17 years old are $10.

Prices for adults 18+ are $25.
