Francois Gilot was one of the most respected artist coming from the Post World War II school or Paris and wife of Picasso. In addition to her art, she also was a major influence in her husband, Pablo Picasso's art. In this 7 week class we will be painting studies around different themes and explore combining gouche and watercolor paints. Week 6 & 7, using pen, paper and watercolor you will design and create a transfer that will be applied and fired onto a ceramic platter for everyday use.For those of you who also enjoy reading biographies, you may also like her candid memoir, Life with Picasso. This book remains one of the most revealing portraits of Picasso and their intense creative life ever written.
