Celebrating the 127th year, Audubon's Christmas Bird Count is an annual winter bird census where thousands of volunteers across North America go out to count birds. Participate in this valuable documentation of bird species right here in North Park. No previous experience necessary: each registrant will be in a group led by an experienced birder as they carpool/caravan to document assigned areas of the park.
Bring leftover holiday cookies to take part in our pre-- and post- count cookie potluck!
Binoculars highly recommended (but not required). A limited number of binoculars are available for loan by request.
Adult must register and attend with child. Dress well for outdoor weather. Call for more information 724-935-2170.
