Students will use the work of influential poets from the past and present as mentor texts to guide them through writing exercises and experiments. Like scientists, students will observe and mimic the various texts and use their growing knowledge to write in wild and different ways. They will learn how to workshop and edit their work, which will be shared aloud as they progress through the class.
