In this experienced-beginner sewing class, students will dive into the fun and creative world of garment making as we sew a knit T-shirt together from start to finish. Using provided patterns, you'll learn how to choose the right fabric—something we’ll explore together during the first class—before moving on to your own materials in week two. Along the way, you’ll build confidence as you practice essential techniques: constructing sample pieces, experimenting with seam finishes achievable on a standard sewing machine, shaping smooth knit necklines, creating polished hems, and more. With step-by-step guidance and plenty of hands-on experience, students leave with new skills, a handmade garment, and the excitement of knowing they can create clothing themselves. Sewing machines and most materials will be provided.
