"Spoken Word Poetry is freedom, it uses all types of expression, any and all ways to play with words. The poems we will write are funny, meaningful and heartfelt. Workshops are taught by professional spoken word poets who make a living with this art form. In workshops we play spontaneous poetry games, learn poetic techniques, write and perform our creations. Goals: At least 90% of participants will feel comfortable writing about themselves and their strengths. At least 90% of participants will feel comfortable following instructions to complete tasks alone. At least 90% of participants will feel comfortable speaking in front of an audience of their peers"
