Instructor: Edward Seufert retired from SRS as a mechanical engineer. Ed is an avid amateur Civil War Historian and has personally visited all the major Eastern and Western Theater Battlefield Sites, including Gettysburg, PA; Antietam, MD; Shiloh, TN; Vicksburg, MS; and Fort Sumter, SC. Ed will use an animated PowerPoint presentation and will make PDF files of each lecture available. Description: This is a continuation of the Spring 2026 course and will cover the Battles around Vicksburg (May 18-July 4, 1863); The Battle of Gettysburg (July 1-3, 1863); and the sequential Battle of Chickamauga (Sept 19-20, 1863) and Battle of Chattanooga (Nov 23-25, 1863).
