Field Trip: Thursday: April 30 Time: 3:30 - 5:00 PM Field Trip Location: 181 Redcliffe Rd., Beech Island, SC 29842 Instructor: Ashley Rust is the Park Manager at Redcliffe. She has an MA in History from Arizona State University and a BA in History from Sweet Briar College. She has been working at museums, art galleries, and historic sites for fifteen years. Description: Over the course of three sessions and one site field trip, we will explore local history through the lens of Redcliffe Plantation State Historic Site. Topics will include antebellum history through the Great Migration with a strong focus on primary source documents, personal stories of those who lived at Redcliffe, and an exploration of the items and buildings left behind.
