About this event
Instructor: Gabriel Lemnaru has 20 years of hands-on experience in the computer and network security field. Gabriel has an MS in Information Security and Assurance. He is a Certified Ethical Hacker, a Computer Hacking Forensics Investigator, a Cisco Certified Network and a Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate. Description: Students will learn how to defend themselves against a growing spectrum of scams that are targeting individual users more than ever before. Anti-viruses, firewalls, and modern security tools are no match for the evolving landscape of sophisticated phishing campaigns and fraud attempts that target a wide variety of devices and services. It is the Human Link that is the most important link in the Cybersecurity Chain. And it is the Human Link that is the most vulnerable. Let’s get educated and stop the hackers. They are becoming more sophisticated as they become richer. The average scam is between $3500 and $10000 with extreme cases of hundreds of thousands, with no hope of recovery. Law enforcement is overwhelmed and most of the time do not have the means or resources to investigate the hacks.
