About this event
Early Fall is a vibrant and generous season on the land, when a new cohort of wildflowers and edible plants are at their peak. As we forage, we’ll explore the medicinal and health-supporting qualities of the plants we harvest and discuss a variety of simple, accessible culinary and healing preparations. With an emphasis on teas and tinctures made from both fresh and dried plant material, participants will actively prepare a culinary or medicinal preparation during the workshop. Together, we’ll closely observe plant features, explore additional plant families, and learn how to recognize key plant family characteristics. You’ll gain tools for understanding plant relationships, empowering you to work more confidently with unfamiliar species and trust your own observations in the field.
