Original date on April 11 was postponed due to weather. New date is Saturday, May 31 from 7:00-8:00 pm.
Learn about the ecology of a vernal pool before walking a short distance to one found here at Pinchot Park. Once we get there, we will explore and discover the different types of critters that call these forest ponds home. For ages 3 & up. This is a family-friendly program; all participants under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Please wear sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting a little wet and muddy, and bring a flashlight for after the program.Program will last approximately 1 hour.Instructor: Beth Kepley-McNutt, EESGifford Pinchot State Park, Campground office parking lot, East Camping Area Road. Campground is located along E. Camping Area Rd (between Alpine Rd & Route 74).
