About this event
In this 4+ hour course, students will learn fish food web, where fish hide, what they eat, types of gear and the art of tying knots from experienced Angler, Jim Bratton. Jim is an Area Chief Instructor/Trainer for Texas Parks & Wildlife. Jim has been certified with the state of Texas since 2019 and has been fishing the majority of his life. Students will first meet at Bowie for the education portion of this class. At the conclusion of the classroom portion, students are welcome to join Mr. Bratton at Sunshine Lake for hands on practice. Students do not have to bring their own fishing rod and reel but can if they have it. Equipment will be provided to those who need it.
