The X-boat is the ideal entry into double-handed sailing for our Opti Race Team skippers. In this session, sailors will learn how to effectively communicate between their skipper and crew combo. Our athletes will strengthen their knowledge of proper rigging and tuning techniques. In addition, they will develop their skills with regards to racing tactics and strategy through long course training, working throughout the season to feel confident competing at the ILYA X Championship. Sailors will be on Bug Island with their equipment, ready to start class. Families must provide their own boat for participation. Registration is per boat which includes the skipper and crew. All crews MUST have filled out an online waiver of liability prior to attending class. Register for both summer sessions to get a $150 discount. Sailors are expected to attend the X boat regattas deemed necessary by LMSS Coaches and Staff. Coaching will be provided by LMSS.
