Plein Air 2024 Event: Community Paint Out in WayneMay 4, 2024 - May 7, 2024Off-Site Location18 yrs +Calling all artists! Please join Wayne Art Center's nationally recognized Plein Air artists as they paint the local landscapes and scenery during the 16th Annual Plein Air Festival. Local artists 18 and older of all skill levels and media are welcome to create painting "en plein air" from Saturday, May 4 through Tuesday May 7
The completed paintings will be exhibited outside the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Gallery at Wayne Art Center during the 16th Annual Wayne Art Center Plein Air Festival exhibition from May 11 through June 22.
Artists are responsible for equipment and supplies. All paintings must be painted during WAC’s Plein Air Festival week and plein air painting locations should be in Wayne and surrounding areas. Registered artists may submit up to TWO paintings which must be framed, wired and ready to hang when delivered. Paintings must be dropped off at Wayne Art Center Wednesday, May 8, 2024, between 9:30 - 11:00 am.
All work must be for sale and must remain at WAC throughout the exhibition. Wayne Art Center retains a 40% commission on all sold works. Artists receive payment for sold work within 30 days of the close of the exhibit. Pickup of unsold artwork is Tuesday, June 25 from 10-5.
