Adult Outrigger Canoe (OC1) FOUNDATIONS - (4 wks) Sunday, May 5 Sunday, May 12 Saturday, May 18 Sunday, May 26 This course runs once a week for 4 weeks and is intended for paddlers who have recently successfully completed the OC1 Introduction course, or have some previous OC1 experience, A qualified coach will teach paddlers how to break down the stroke and understand better how to move the body in coordination with the paddle through the water and air, which creates a smooth-running canoe with strong precision. All necessary equipment will be provided. SPECIFIC LEARNINGS: ★ Learn tips and tricks from an experienced coach, specifically catered to you - 1 on 1 ★ In-depth paddle technique and drills to focus on each part of the stroke (catch, pull, exit, recovery) ★ Increased body mechanics during each part of the stroke to become a faster, more confident, and efficient paddler. PRE-REQUISITES: ★ Must have completed the Introduction to OC-1 Course or have similar experience. ★ Can do a successful Huli (capsize) recovery. ★ Non-members must do a successful huli recovery on the first session.
