Adult Outrigger Canoe (OC1) - Sprint Time Trial Clinic - April 6th DATES & TIMES: Saturday, April 6th from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM **NOTE - The Community Center Closes at 4:00PM on weekends** Coaches: Erin L & Kat R Never participated in a Sprint Time Trial before, or are looking to up your game on your next team time trial? This is the clinic for you! There are 4 parts to this clinic: ★ Part 1: Before the clinic day - participants MUST write down their race plan and bring it with them. If you do not have a written race plan, you will not get the most out of this clinic! ★ Part 2: On land theory - Taking a closer look at all participants' race plan, breaking it down, and knowing your race course, etc. ★ Part 3: On water - Putting your race plan in action, practicing lining up, starts, strategy, lines, etc. ★ Part 4: Mock Time Trial with everyone participating! This will be officially timed so that you can see if your race plan worked, and/or where you need to improve on for your next one. Note: All Clions will be used for the Mock Time Trial part 4, and are encouraged to rig on the side you are going to be time trialing on for your team time trial. Practice makes perfect! PRE-REQUISITES: ★ MUST HAVE A SPRINT RACE PLAN WRITTEN BEFORE THE SESSION!! (Coaches will go over everyone's during the On Land portion. If you do not have one written, you will not maximize your learning for this clinic! Come prepared for this one!) ★ Can do a successful Huli (capsize) recovery. ★ Non-members must prove they can successfully do one (Written by the orienteer or verbal) CAPACITY: Max of 14 (8 participants per group - there will be 2 groups running at the same time)
