Teachers: Coach Jay’s Chess Academy Ready to level up your chess skills and outsmart the competition? This class is for serious players who want to go beyond the basics and develop tournament-level strategies! Join Coach Jay as he teaches you opening traps, endgame tactics, and advanced strategic patterns to sharpen your thinking and elevate your play. With an extra 45 minutes of training (until 4:45 PM), you’ll dive deep into gamesmanship, psychology, tournament etiquette, and what it means to compete with unrelenting effort and perfect sportsmanship. You’ll train like a champion with customized Puzzle Packs based on your level and take on tougher opponents to push your limits. Whether you’re preparing for tournament play or just looking to master the art of chess, this class is your next move! Important: If you’ve never been part of our Friday Chess program before, please contact Mr. Romano or the After School Enrichment team before registering. This class is meant for returning players.
